VMware vSphere Metro Storage Cluster

VMware Has recently launched a case study about using Metro Cluster in vSphere Environment. what you need to focus on here as a requirement for this to work is as follows

• Storage connectivity using Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SVD and FCoE is supported.
• At the time of writing, storage connectivity using NAS (NFS protocol) is not supported with VMware vMSC
• The maximum supported network latency between sites for the VMware® ESXi™ management networks is
10ms round-trip time (RTT).
– 10ms of latency for vMotion is supported only with VMware vSphere® Enterprise Plus Edition™ licenses
(Metro vMotion).
• The maximum supported latency for synchronous storage replication links is 5ms RTT.
• A minimum of 622Mbps network bandwidth, configured with redundant links, is required for the
ESXi vMotion network.

VMware Horizon Application Manager 1.5 is on Premises GA.

VMware has Finally released Horizon Application Manager on premise to customers just last night my timing GMT+3.  I am very excited about this launch since the features it brings to the enterprise are absolutly amazing in so many ways. first of all, as we are starting to see the execution of the end user computing that was released in the last VMWorld in 2011.  the way i would think about Horizon is basically like an AppStore that we use in our mobile & Tablet devices. which means that VMware is bringing the consumer experience of doing things into the enterprise but with more robust IT Control which what really matters now for them.

In this blog, i will highlight some of the main feature that VMware Horizon will provide and i will post an easy step-by-step guide on how to set it up in another blog post.

So discussing features here is what customers will get deploying horizon.
